Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an inspector to perform mechanical final assembly inspections on spacecraft and related systems. The role requires familiarity with SAP or ERP systems, interpreting drawings, and ensuring quality through log-keeping and reporting.

Candidates should be US citizens capable of obtaining a Security Clearance and be available for a 4x10 second shift schedule (Mon-Thu). Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP software / database or other ERP software/database systems.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications / standards.
• Basic Computer / Microsoft Office skills.
• Effective written and communication skills.
• Can work independently / self-motivated.
• Experience working successfully in a team environment.
• Must be a US Citizen and the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
• Able to work Monday‑Thursday 4X10 second shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspects mechanical final assembly installations of spacecraft, launch vehicles, rocket launchers, radar/communication assembles, and aircraft components.
• Inspects hydraulic, pneumatic, oil, heat, and brakes systems; rechecks after adjustments or repairs.
• Visually and physically inspects electrical installations; maintains inspection logs and writes reports.
• This position is on 2nd Shift, Monday through Thursday.
