Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Final Assembly Inspector to work hands-on in a production setting, applying lean manufacturing concepts to assess assemblies, mechanical and electrical systems in missiles and related space hardware.

The role requires interpreting drawings, using calibrated inspection tools, and ensuring compliance with product requirements. Candidates should be US citizens eligible for a Security Clearance and be detail-oriented with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret product specifications, drawings/blueprints.
• Able to use calibrated inspection equipment to validate dimensions or features.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Must be a US Citizen and the ability to obtain/maintain a Security Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect product from production, received from suppliers or other LM sites to validate workmanship, dimensions and documentation conform to product/drawing requirements.
• Disposition parts for test or outside inspections based on inspection plans or program requirements
• Reject and generate non-conforming documentation for hardware that does not meet product specifications or requirements
• Train/Support other areas of Quality
• Other tasks as assigned
