Job summary

Celanese is seeking an Account Manager for the Filaments Americas region to develop and manage accounts across North America. The role focuses on markets such as toothbrushes, cosmetic brushes, industrial/abrasive, and paintbrushes.

The candidate should be energetic with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate multicultural environments, interacting with US/China technical teams and North American clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, engineering or other appropriate discipline.
• 5–7 years of relevant commercial experience with strong business, financial and legal acumen.
• Experience in polymers, synthetic materials, or related markets is a plus.
• Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills; national/global account management experience preferred.
• Strategic mindset with ability to analyze market data.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand existing accounts across North America, ensuring excellent service and continuous business development.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of markets and competitive landscape to support product and solution development.
• Develop strategic account plans and drive topline growth at key accounts through KAM, including multi-level relationships.
• Work closely with the technical support team to deliver tailored solutions to customers.
• Identify growth opportunities and new markets for filament products in the region; target high-value applications.
• Maintain a robust sales funnel with revenue, volume, and margin growth targets.
• Monitor market trends and competition to support strategic decisions.
• Lead complex negotiations to secure positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with downstream brand owners to drive demand and enhance brand awareness.
• Define strategy, business model, product positioning, margin structure and channels for high-growth markets.
• Regularly manage sales objectives including Key Account Plans, Call Reports and funnel execution.
