Job summary

Golden State Communications, Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Technician to install, maintain and troubleshoot wireless radio systems at customer sites and company facilities in the greater Bay Area.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Motorola, Kenwood, and Vertex equipment and a strong customer-service focus. Responsibilities include site surveys, system modifications, and providing quotes and schedules for installations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of service technician experience with Motorola, Kenwood, Vertex equipment in 2-way radio/wireless fields.
• Experience installing communications systems in buildings, DAS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 2-way radio theory, RF propagation, and related systems.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and provide technical support on wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz analog/digital).
• Diagnose and repair equipment issues with customers in a positive, efficient manner.
• Replace defective modules or components and perform standard testing procedures.
• Support public address and BDA systems as needed.
• Provide site surveys, quotes, bids, and installation schedules.
