Job summary

Empire Southwest seeks a Senior Power Systems Field Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain generators, switchgear, ATS, and related electrical systems in field environments, including hyperscale data centers. The role requires safety awareness and teamwork across travel-heavy assignments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in power systems repair or equivalent, strong diagnostic skills, and knowledge of transfer switches and control panels.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English (read, write, speak).
• DOT licensing and medical card where required.
• 6+ months related field experience preferred.
• EGSA training or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions in field settings.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain generators, switchgear, ATS, and engines.
• Prepare clear service reports and document work performed.
• Travel to remote client sites as needed; manage time and costs.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies.
