Job summary

SOCOTEC US in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician/Inspector to perform field testing and inspections of soils, concrete, and asphalt on construction projects. You will document test results, support quality control, maintain records, and communicate findings to project managers and clients. This role requires 7+ years in CMT with certifications such as ACI Grade I, ATTI, and Nuclear Gauge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction materials testing, quality control inspection, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of standard test methods for soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements.
• Conduct quality control inspections on construction sites and document observations.
• Prepare accurate field reports, test results, and supporting project documentation.
• Maintain field and laboratory records and ensure data is complete and organized.
• Communicate test results and observations to project managers, contractors, and clients.
• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards while working in the field.
• Assist with additional testing, inspection, and project-related duties as assigned.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician/Inspector to join our team.
