Job summary

Lanco Group is seeking a field service technician to troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment outdoors, including railjacks, forklifts, welders, and service trucks. You will train others, perform preventive maintenance, and interface with customers and offices.

The role requires reading electrical/hydraulic schematics, self-scheduling, and willingness to travel in the western region. A strong safety mindset and ability to work at heights are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of field service experience or completion of field service technician education.
• Ability to read variable schematic logic for low/high voltage electrical and hydraulics.
• Willingness to travel throughout the western region when called upon.
• Safety minded and able to work at various heights.
• Strong communication with customer and office; able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment – electrical, hydraulic, diesel and mechanical.
• Provide training and technical knowledge on full range of equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
• Support customers by interfacing with customer and office to repair equipment as needed.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics on a wide range of equipment.
• Self-starter who can find work within yards beyond what is scheduled.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
• Provide high level of communication with customer and office.
• Prioritize repairs within assigned yards.
• Self-schedule and coordinate repairs and PMs with on-site management.
