Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Senior Field Technician in Lawrenceville, GA to perform observations, testing, sampling, and inspection of construction materials at sites. You will work with experienced project management professionals to safely complete tasks in Field Services while developing expertise through ECS training and certification opportunities.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 40–70 lbs (up to 85 lbs).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Willing to maintain current basic level certifications plus 2 advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Must provide suitable transportation for job sites - Mileage reimbursed.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Strong math skills with the ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials on construction sites.
• Execute tasks under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers.
• Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment.
• Data collection and calculations based on sampling, test results, and inspections; draft field reports documenting site observations.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers; attend project meetings.
• Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; document findings with precision.
• Document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
