Job summary

Christy Media Solutions is seeking a Senior Field Technician to lead on-site delivery, installation and commissioning of large-scale LED display systems across the United States. You will own sites, coordinate teams, and resolve technical issues through to handover.

The role requires hands-on LED/AV experience, strong commissioning and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to travel ~95% of the time. You will interact with customers, project managers, and general contractors to ensure project

Job description

Senior Field Technician | LED Displays | AV | Installation Leadership | Field Service | 95% Travel | US

We're partnering with an established US-based LED display manufacturer to recruit several Senior Field Technicians to lead the onsite delivery, installation and commissioning of large-scale LED display systems across the United States.

The company designs and delivers direct-view LED display solutions for major venues, corporate environments, retail, transportation, entertainment and other high-profile commercial applications.

This is a senior, hands-on field role for someone who can take ownership of a site, lead installation teams, coordinate with customers and contractors, and solve technical issues independently through to successful project handover.

What you'll be doing

• Take the technical lead on large-scale LED installation and commissioning projects
• Lead and coordinate onsite installers, subcontractors and technical crews
• Oversee installation quality, site readiness and adherence to project requirements
• Act as a key onsite point of contact for customers, project managers and general contractors
• Configure, commission and test LED displays and associated control systems
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, signal, cabling and system issues independently
• Make informed technical decisions onsite and ?? only when necessary
• Train subcontractors and installers on products, installation methods and system standards
• Manage commissioning, final testing, project closeout and customer handover
• Ensure daily reports, inventory records, spare parts documentation and project paperwork are completed accurately
• Travel extensively across the US, with some international project opportunities

What we're looking for

• Experience as a Senior Field Technician, Lead Field Technician, Field Service Engineer, LED Technician, AV Field Engineer, Installation Lead or similar
• Strong hands-on experience with LED displays, professional AV, video walls, digital signage, electrical or low-voltage systems
• Experience leading onsite installations, technical crews or subcontractors
• Strong commissioning and troubleshooting capability
• Ability to take ownership of technical issues and work through problems independently
• Confidence making decisions in the field without relying heavily on engineering support
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
• Experience coordinating with project managers, general contractors, site teams and customers
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Comfortable working on active construction sites and adapting to changing site conditions
• Comfortable travelling approximately 95% of the time
• A calm, professional and low-ego approach to leadership and customer interaction

Highly advantageous

• Experience with NovaStar control systems
• Experience with MegaPixel or other LED processing platforms
• Direct-view LED installation and commissioning experience
• Experience leading crews on large-format or custom LED projects
• Experience across stadiums, arenas, corporate environments, retail, transportation, themed entertainment or other major commercial installations
