Job summary

ECS Florida, LLC is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our South Daytona team. You will collaborate with project management professionals to safely perform field tasks across soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of related experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Maintain basic certifications and two advanced certifications applicable to the work performed
  • General industry OSHA 10 may be required
  • If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Advanced knowledge of construction materials testing principles and standards
  • Strong understanding of construction practices and jobsite operations
  • Advanced proficiency with electronic devices and data systems
  • Strong math and data reduction skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
  • Ability to work independently and lead small efforts in the field
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials regularly (up to ~85 lbs)

Responsibilities

  • Performs field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials
  • Executes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervision
  • Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
  • Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
  • Prepares accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and results
  • Performs calculations, data reduction, and documentation tasks
  • Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing materials
  • Assists in resolving field-related issues and supports project execution
  • Trains and mentors Technician I and Technician II staff in field procedures and documentation
  • Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested
  • Performs other field and project support duties as assigned

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our South Daytona team. In this role, you'll continue to collaborate and develop with experienced project management professionals to safely perform a variety of tasks in Field Services department.



  • Performs field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials

  • Executes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervision

  • Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
