Job summary

DPR Construction in Reston, VA seeks a Sr Field Technology Engineer to coordinate field technology operations across multiple projects. You will oversee LiDAR scanning, layout, and reality capture, ensuring data integrates with project models and supports coordination efforts.

You will develop workflows, train field technicians, and lead data processing to improve accuracy, safety, and project delivery while collaborating with VDC and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of field technology or construction technology experience.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification required.
• Drone Pilot Certification (Part 107) preferred.
• Total Station or Laser Scan course certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced LiDAR scanning, layout, and surveying to support high-accuracy construction execution.
• Processes and integrates point cloud and photogrammetry data into BIM platforms for coordination and analysis.
• Develops and refines workflows for field data collection, processing, and delivery to project teams.
• Provides technical leadership and mentorship to field technicians and project teams in field technology applications.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues in data capture, model alignment, and system interoperability.
• Collaborates with VDC and operations teams to align technology implementation with project goals.
