Job summary

The Senior Field Service Technician role at Ellab involves performing advanced calibration, verification, preventive maintenance, and installation services on a range of laboratory and process instruments. You will work with limited supervision to resolve complex measurement issues and ensure compliance with standards.

You will primarily operate during standard hours with occasional travel to customer sites, and you will maintain thorough service records, certificates, and project updates while

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in calibration, instrumentation, or field service.
• Experience calibrating across multiple measurement disciplines with limited supervision.
• Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of calibration principles, traceability, and measurement uncertainty.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, verification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation services on customer equipment.
• Independently conduct complex calibration activities across multiple disciplines.
• Interpret manufacturer docs to determine calibration and service requirements.
• Interface with customers regarding equipment status and project updates.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and calibration certificates.
• Identify and escalate out-of-tolerance conditions and quality concerns.
• Support and maintain company standards, tools, and inventory.
• Follow ISO/IEC 17025, GMP, and safety requirements.
