Job summary

Flagship Facility Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer in California’s South San Francisco area to perform on-site calibration and repairs at client facilities, with ISO 17025-compliant procedures.

You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair laboratory equipment, document service orders, and support customer satisfaction. This full-time role requires 2+ years in field service and 1+ year in laboratory settings, with strong time management and independent work habits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years technical field experience with a proven track record of technical resolutions.
• 1+ years laboratory related experience required.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and OSHA preferred, but not required.
• Any technical mechanics (HVAC, motors, electrical, etc.) experience preferred
• Strong time management and task management abilities
• Able to effectively complete tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
• Customer-focused professional who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and proactively resolves concerns.
• Will primarily work at client locations while headquartered in local office.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, repairs and validations of laboratory equipment to ISO 17025 standards.
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment using various tools such as multimeters, thermometers, process calibrators.
• Complete all documentation associated with service order.
• Develop calibration procedures to meet the customer requirements while supporting traceability of the measurements.
• Maintain all equipment and standards per SOP's.
• Calibration Services – Autoclaves, Balances, calipers, floor and RTtop centrifuges, peristaltic pumps, pressure and vacuum gauges, magnahelic gauges, data loggers shakers and CO2 incubators.
• PM services – Able to perform a PM on all above equipment.
• General Repairs to equipment
• Other tasks as directed.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products, tools, and ladders) and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Climb a ladder to perform repairs.
