Job summary

Consor is seeking a Survey Party Chief in Phoenix to lead field survey crews on transportation projects, including bridges and roadway structures. The role emphasizes accuracy, mentorship, and coordination with design and field teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive field surveying experience, CST III or equivalent certification, and proficiency with robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS systems. Hybrid office/field work is typical for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of field surveying experience or LSIT
• NSPS CST Level III certification or equivalent
• Experience with heavy construction staking/layout for transportation structures

Responsibilities

• Perform field surveying at project locations
• Lead field crew and set traverse points and monuments
• Direct surveying on transportation projects (bridges, overpasses, roadways)
• Review field work for accuracy and compliance with plans
• Mentor junior staff and train on surveying methods
• Operate surveying equipment (GPS/GNSS, total stations) and maintain records
