Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; commensurate experience considered.
• College or technical courses in mathematics and surveying.
• Three or more years of survey or construction related experience preferred.
• Prior Instrument Operator experience preferred.
• Familiar with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Ability to work outside in all seasons.
• Travel and overtime required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.
• Set up and operate survey equipment including total-station, data-collector, level, and GPS.
• Perform survey calculations.
• Conduct stakeouts and location surveys using survey equipment.
• Maintain survey equipment and stock survey truck with supplies.
• Coordinate work of subordinate personnel.
• Assist and train junior personnel.
• Perform accuracy checks and equipment calibration.
• Work daily in compliance with safety regulations.
• Care for instruments and vehicle daily.
