Job summary

Horizon Construction Group is seeking a Lead Field Superintendent for a late-summer start on a ground-up multifamily project in Caledonia, Wisconsin. The role leads on-site operations, coordinating structural, civil, and MEP trades, while driving schedules, quality control, and safety standards through turnover over an 18-month build window.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent leading multifamily, mixed-use, or large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction schedules, sequencing, quality control, and project turnover.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple trades simultaneously.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing RFIs, field coordination, and constructability challenges.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant jobsite.
• OSHA certification and multifamily construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day field operations on a large-scale multifamily project.
• Drive project schedules and coordinate activities between trades.
• Manage quality control, inspections, punch lists, and project turnover.
• Identify and resolve field issues through proactive planning and constructability solutions.
• Partner with Project Managers, design teams, inspectors, and subcontractors to keep work moving.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite culture.
• Supervise and develop field staff while holding teams accountable for performance expectations.
