Job summary

Milestone Contractors is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead a crew across heavy highway, bridge, asphalt and concrete paving projects. The role emphasizes safety, quality and adherence to drawings and schedules.

You will coordinate manpower, materials and equipment, ensure resource availability and provide weekly schedule updates, working with project teams to keep the project on track. A High School diploma and 5+ years in heavy highway construction are required.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent or GED; work experience
• 5+ years of experience in heavy highway construction industry, including 1 year of supervision
• Preferred prior experience in heavy highway construction

Responsibilities

• Supervise craft employees and assign/direct work
• Lead a construction crew and execute work schedules
• Coordinate manpower, materials and equipment requirements
• Ensure resource availability and safety
• Prepare weekly schedule updates and communicate with stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and schedules
• Resolve conflicts and manage labor relations per contracts
• Collaborate with project control, estimating, schedule and equipment to stay on schedule
