Job summary

BE&K Building Group is seeking a Superintendent to provide overall direction on electrical-focused construction projects. You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality while coordinating with owners, architects, and trade partners onsite.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and strong communication to keep projects on time and within budget. Onsite work is required, with close collaboration from the Project Manager and Superintendent team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (not required).
• 8 to 12 years of experience on construction projects with electrical focus.
• Excellent team development skills and leadership abilities.
• Strong ability to partner with the Project Manager and staff.
• Must possess effective communication skills.
• Capable of dealing with ambiguity and tight work oversight.
• Must possess business judgment to balance budget and construction processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take action confidently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, and document all day-to-day job site activities including OSHA safety compliance.
• Direct field personnel according to the project plan.
• Communicate issues, events, performance, and progress daily to the Project Manager.
• Report problems promptly to the Project Manager to facilitate cost-effective solutions.
• Establish effective working relationships with Clients, BE&K team members, and subcontractors.
• Manage all phases of the construction process including documenting and reporting site activities and progress.
