Job summary

The Superintendent I will lead day-to-day field operations on institutional and commercial construction projects in San Antonio, Texas. You will manage production, schedules, safety, and quality to align with contract documents and project goals.

You will coordinate with client representatives and internal teams, supervise self-performed work, and ensure documentation, inspections, and closeout activities are executed on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Construction Management or similar field with 4-7 years of related experience.
• Journeyman status in a building trade (i.e. Carpenter) with 10+ years of progressive responsibility supervising construction.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor engaged in general building and civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day field activities to meet milestone dates and schedule completion.
• Creating short-interval look-ahead project schedules and ensuring action items are tracked.
• Establishing a culture that values safety, health and cleanliness.
• Ensuring work is performed in a workmanlike manner and compliant with contract documents.
• Managing inspections, documentation and project closeout activities.

Education
