Job summary

Leola Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Field Superintendent to oversee field crews, masonry, and framing on active commercial sites across Hillsborough County, FL. You will drive safety, schedule, and quality through hands-on leadership on site.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to plans and codes, coordination with inspectors, and proactive problem-solving to keep projects moving on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent or Lead Foreman.
• Deep knowledge of commercial masonry and framing, including concrete slab and foundation work.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and shop plans.
• Strong leadership presence with conflict-resolution skills and ability to manage diverse subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations, leading internal crews and subcontractors to maximize productivity.
• Maintain the master project schedule on-site and coordinate daily trade sequences.
• Lay out and verify the structural shell against plans and Florida Building Code.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain a clean, safe jobsite.
• Coordinate with county inspectors to clear structural sign-offs.
• Verify material deliveries and manage on-site inventory.
• Maintain daily logs of progress and report updates to the Commercial Project Manager.
