Job description

At RobCo, we radically rethink how products are made. Manufacturing today is still largely defined by manual, repetitive work. We are here to change that.
Our modular, software defined robotic solutions bring automation to industrial companies, from mid-sized champions to global enterprises. By making adaptable automation accessible, we are driving efficiency, resilience and long-term competitiveness where it matters most.
We are building Physical AI for the real world. Technology that transforms entire industries through autonomy, modularity and deep software integration. But it is the people who make all of this possible. We are looking for curious minds, driven builders and bold thinkers who want to challenge how things have always been done.

If that's you, join us and help us;

“Automate the ordinary,
so humans can do the extraordinary.”

RobCo was born from curiosity, ingenuity, and a simple but bold idea: robotics should be accessible to every industrial company. In 2020, Roman Hölzl, Paul Marardt and Constantin Dresel came together at the Chair of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with a shared vision. They wanted to rethink how automation is built and deployed on the factory floor.
Frustrated by the rigidity, complexity and high costs of traditional robotic systems, they set out to create something fundamentally different. Autonomous industrial robotics centered on software and AI that makes automation adaptive, scalable and easy to implement without specialist expertise. From this idea, RobCo emerged as a company focused on helping manufacturers increase productivity, tackle labor shortages and bring Physical AI into real industrial environments.
Today, we build our technology in Germany and the United States, with engineering teams in Munich, San Francisco and Austin. Our systems are deployed across Europe and the US. They combine modular hardware, no-code automation tools and AI-powered capabilities to deliver robotics that just works—robust, flexible and scalable for real production environments.
Our mission is to build Physical AI for real factories, turning rigid industrial processes into systems that learn, adapt and scale at RobCo, you are not just joining a company. You are joining a movement to automate the ordinary, so humans can do the extraordinary.

“In my two years at RobCo, I’ve experienced firsthand how powerful it is to work in an environment where curiosity is welcomed and growth is truly supported. Starting as an intern and growing into my full-time role showed me how much you can achieve when a team trusts you, challenges you, and pushes you forward - all while contributing to a mission I’m proud of: automating the ordinary so humans can do the extraordinary.”

Regional Director – Commercial

“Having been at RobCo since the beginning as employee #3, I’ve had the chance to witness and be part of almost the entire company journey. What’s been most meaningful is growing alongside the company myself and now contributing to the growth and success of our Revenue team.”

About the Role at RobCo

RobCo is building the category of Autonomous Industrial Robotics and we're doing it fast. We believe that automating the ordinary frees humans to do the extraordinary, and we're building the end-to-end robotics infrastructure to make that possible - hardware, software, and AI in one stack that just works.

To further expand our team, we are looking for you as Senior Field Solutions Engineer to join our Austin-based team. Your role will be central to ensuring successful implementation and ongoing performance of our robotic solutions at customer sites throughout the United States. You will play a critical part in scaling our solutions and providing technical leadership and support.

Your Responsibilities

Development and Testing: Take ownership of robotic solution concepts from detailed design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support within our Austin facility and at customer locations.

Customer Deployment and Integration: Lead the technical deployment and commissioning of RobCo's robotic automation systems at customer sites, ensuring seamless integration with existing production environments. Lead on-site robotics deployments by coordinating and directing cross-functional team members across engineering, design, assembly, test, operations, and field teams — ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and execution priorities across all deployment activities, and driving alignment so deployments remain on schedule and operational objectives are achieved.

Project Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and document customer projects from initial scoping through to successful commissioning, delivering robust and reliable solutions. Own program management activities including project planning, timeline creation, milestone tracking, dependency management, risk identification, and maintenance of risk mitigation plans/registers. Establish structured deployment plans, daily priorities, and action tracking for all participating team members to ensure efficient execution and rapid issue resolution during deployments.

Operational Scalability: Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable operational processes, mechanisms, and team workflows that increase execution efficiency, standardization, and organizational scalability. 5+ years of experience deploying large autonomous systems.

Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex projects end-to-end with no oversight, taking full ownership of execution, delivery, and outcomes.

Acts as a highly autonomous leader capable of proactively identifying and resolving obstacles, driving decisions, and escalating only critical business risks when necessary.

Demonstrates strong leadership presence, operational decision-making, and accountability in fast-paced deployment environments while maintaining a high standard of execution and team coordination.

Strong problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and customers.

Structured, clear communicator with strong documentation skills.
