Job summary

Archrock is seeking an experienced field technician to maintain and repair gas compression and process equipment at customer sites across the region. You will lead major maintenance and overhaul projects, ensure safety, and mentor junior technicians while delivering quality service.

The role requires 5+ years in gas engines/compressors, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work on-call. Travel is extensive and drivers license is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with natural gas engines and compressors.
• Knowledge of gas engines, compressors, electrical systems, and controls.
• Able to read performance curves to adjust compressor packages.
• Demonstrated safe and reliable service history.
• Must read, write, and speak English for work orders and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair gas compression and process equipment at customer sites.
• Lead MM, Overhaul, MOB/DEMOB projects with limited to no assistance.
• Ensure safe, organized work environment and adhere to HSE procedures.
• Complete and submit required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Respond to after-hours requests on a on-call basis.
• Provide technical mentoring and support to fellow technicians.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license

Gas/diesel engine and compressor training

English proficiency

Advanced diagnostic and repair skills
