Role Description

The Senior Field Service Technician is a full-time, remote position (~85%+ travel) responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting precision machine tools on customer sites across North America. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, training users on machine operations, and tuning equipment for optimal performance. Collaboration with internal teams and customers to address technical challenges effectively is a core aspect of the position.

Qualifications

• Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems on precision equipment
• Experience with CNC operation, and maintenance
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve technical issues efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for user training and teamwork with customers and internal teams
• Willingness to travel extensively to client sites across North America
• Prior experience in field service of large-scale CNC machine tools
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in remote settings
• Knowledge of relevant safety protocols and adherence to industry standards
• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics or a related experience
• Familiarity with WALDRICH COBURG or other vertical milling machines or similar equipment is an advantage
