Job summary

Innomotics LLC seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to coordinate, lead, and perform service for Sinamics Medium Voltage Drives, including installations, upgrades, retrofits, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training.

The role requires up to 100% travel to US and international sites. You’ll train colleagues, generate activity reports, and ensure safe operations while collaborating with project managers and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or similar field.
• 8+ years of experience with Sinamics Medium Voltage Drives.
• Extensive knowledge in Sinamics VFD: SM150, SL150, GM150, GL150.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of time to customer sites.
• Strong budgeting, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to provide field service recommendations in customer meetings.

Responsibilities

• On-site technical and operational support for complex equipment and systems.
• Startup, commissioning, upgrades, preventive maintenance, training, and repairs.
• Lead the most complex equipment installations and test runs.
• Proactively solve problems and mentor colleagues in complex product and service training.
• Train on the job and in classroom settings; share knowledge.
• Submit reports of job activity; maintain tools and calibration items.
• Review complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics; provide guidance.
• Take customer responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager.
• Ensure safe working conditions at all times.
• Communicate with Innomotics units and customers to determine requirements.
• Frequent travel to US and international customer sites; investigate issues.
• Conduct failure investigations and monitor customer concerns.
• Flexibility to work overtime as workload requires.
