Job summary

Innomotics is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to join our team in the United States. This role will coordinate and perform service for new equipment installations, upgrades, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and training on Siemens drives.

The position is remote within the United States, with up to 100% travel and preferred locations near major US airports. Strong electrical/mechanical hands-on skills required, HS or higher electrical training welcomed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with electrical measurement equipment.
• Proficient with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related test equipment.
• Experience with Siemens Perfect Harmony VFDs and Sinamics products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning installations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and service on Siemens product line.
• Record documentation of all work performed.
• Lead or participate in upgrades and training as required.

Your Future Role

Innomotics is looking for a Field Service Technician for our Variable Frequency Drives that will coordinate, lead, implements and/or perform service for new equipment installations, upgrades, retrofits, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and training.

The position is in Remote within the United States. The ideal candidate must be based near a major US airport hub, for ease of US travel. Other ideal/ preffered locations are PA,OH,MI,TX,IL,WI,GA,MO, and KS.

Responsibilities

• Perform Commissioning installations, Preventative Maintenance, sophisticated trouble shooting, problem analysis and product specific service on Siemens product line.
• Performs sophisticated maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc.
• Must be proficient with use of various hand tools, torque wrenches, etc.,
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs as the need arises
• Ability to lift heavy objects, bending & reaching as the need arises
• Completes documentation of all work performed – Commissioning, Preventative Maintenance, Upgrades, trouble shooting, etc.

Your Profile

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• 8+ years of technical hands-on experience specific to electrical measurement equipment and/or Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required
• Working proficiency with electrical measurement equipment including; multimeters, oscilloscopes, and various niche equipment for communication and network systems.
• Adept at field service, troubleshooting and commissioning activities for Siemens Perfect Harmony VFD’s and Sinamics products.
• Validated troubleshooting techniques and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Candidate should be able to read and understand electrical plans, specifications, drawings, and installation schematics.
• Up to 100% Travel required with the position
• Successfully demonstrates knowledge in Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), Process Automation and Controls, PLC programming, field excitation, Syncronous and Induction Motors
• Off Shore Platform work required – HUET training

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Candidate should be familiar with electrical safety PPE and procedures (LOTO, NFPA70E and OSHA regulations.)

The pay range for this position is $63,000-$117,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
