Job summary

Milacron, LLC is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to lead installations, commissioning, and optimization of plastic injection molding equipment. You will diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software issues, traveling to customer sites and providing on-site and remote support. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, training, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent military/industry experience.
• 7+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, startup, commissioning, and validation of retrofit control systems and automation upgrades on plastic injection molding machines.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and software-related issues independently.
• Perform root-cause analysis to identify recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, servo systems, and motion controls.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development teams to support new product implementations.
