Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Position, Navigation and Timing Program at Fort Moore. You will apply electrical and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot hardware and support Army maintainers and operators.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years of project experience, travel up to 50%, and an Active Secret clearance. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical, electronics, computer science, general engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of project-related experience, including 1 year in development, test, and evaluation of major systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the US and occasionally overseas.
• Valid U.S. passport through 2028 or longer or obtained within 90 days of start.
• Active Secret US government clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to unit requirements for hardware and weapons/stores maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Screen inoperable components to verify or eliminate faults.
• Apply electrical and mechanical knowledge to fault isolation and restore operations.
• Provide technical support to Army maintainers and operators.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, test and evaluate major systems and subsystems.
• Prepare engineering analyses, reports, change proposals, and other documentation.
• Support systems requirements analyses and provide input to design teams.
• Support systems integration, configuration management, QA testing, or resource management.
