Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electronics Systems Maintenance Technician IV to join our Position, Navigation and Timing Program at Fort Hood, TX, with frequent nationwide travel. You will provide field support, troubleshoot and repair complex systems, and mentor soldiers in maintenance procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an AA/AS in Electronic Engineering Technology, possesses a Secret clearance, and has extensive experience testing electronic equipment and military subsystems.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Secret clearance required; US citizenship necessary to obtain clearance.
• Six years total experience with testing electronic equipment.
• Four years of testing/troubleshooting of military subsystem installations.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for troubleshooting and repair of systems and perform software updates.
• Mentor soldiers in maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Facilitate higher level repair and ensure calibration of support equipment.
• Install, modify, wire, fabricate and maintain systems; distinguish hardware vs software issues in multi-vendor environments.
