Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Sr. Field Service Engineer to lead deployment and ongoing operation of its multi-day energy storage system. You will serve as the SME for liquid and gas handling subsystems, troubleshoot remotely and on-site, and collaborate with hardware, software, and reliability teams to improve uptime.

You will travel up to 50% to client sites, develop diagnostic tooling, and define field protocols to ensure safe, scalable service and continuous product improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in field service or repair of corrosive/liquid or gas-handling systems.
• Experience troubleshooting liquid or gas handling, ventilation, or chemical processing equipment.
• Experience reading P&IDs and mechanical schematics; strong tooling/measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceive field tooling, diagnostic software, and test fixtures for electrolyte and gas management systems.
• Partner with product design teams to ensure DFS for field maintainability and safety.
• Perform remote and on-site diagnostics; be SME for fluid system issues.
• Define data signatures for fleet health and contribute to fleet monitoring tools.
• Develop field procedures for fluid and gas leaks; train others to execute them.
• Lead or support 8D RCA processes for critical failures.
