Job summary

Form Energy seeks a senior leader to direct Commissioning and Field Service for our utility-scale energy storage projects. You will build and lead a world-class team responsible for system commissioning, post-installation service, and rapid issue resolution.

You will shape field service strategy and operational procedures to ensure long-term reliability. The role requires extensive leadership in field operations, deep knowledge of energy storage systems, and strong communication with executives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Commissioning, Field Service, Field Operations, or Technical Support for utility-scale energy, industrial, or complex electro-mechanical systems.
• 4+ years managing a global or large regional team.
• Practical experience with energy storage systems, including power electronics, high-voltage systems, protective relaying, SCADA and grid support functionality.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and industrial codes for field operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Commissioning and Field Service organization, including hiring, training, and managing field service managers, engineers, and technicians.
• Develop and execute the commissioning playbook for a seamless transition from construction to COD.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive O&M strategy with standards, safety protocols, and QA processes.
• Own MTTR and Availability metrics for commissioned systems and develop preventive maintenance programs.
• Hold full P&L responsibility for the field service organization and manage service contracts and warranties.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, PM, and Manufacturing to feedback field insights for product improvements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation: checklists, test protocols, emergency plans, and manuals.
• Manage budget, spare parts inventory, and external vendor relationships to optimize cost and service.
• Travel to project sites up to 40% of the time for deployments and field operations.
