Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join the SIU team as a Senior Field Security Investigator! As a Senior Field Security Investigator, you will conduct investigations of suspected cases of fraud or other illegal activities against the Company, including interviewing, database inquiries, taking statements, and locating sources of information and witnesses. Responsibilities include evaluating information to determine its credibility, referring, and coordinating investigation assignments to outside agencies, and providing training and support to all departments in the claims handling process.

Applicant must reside in Staten Island, Bronx, Yonkers, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Northern New Jersey.

Qualifications
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field, or
  • Five years of insurance claims investigative experience (includes TCR1, TCR2, CU, PIP technical and/or PIP litigation desk experience), professional investigation experience with law enforcement agencies, or
  • Seven years of professional investigation experience involving economic or insurance related matters
  • Experience handling in-person or phone statements from various parties in an investigation that build customer satisfaction through efficient, accurate, and courteous interactions
  • Ability to gather evidence and draw conclusions related to fraud investigations
  • Ability to organize and prioritize investigative workloads and stressful situations
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • Document files clearly and professionally for understanding by all stakeholders
  • Obtain and maintain valid driver’s license, certifications, and permits as per regulations
  • Ability to lift materials and equipment, including lifting to and from vehicles and carrying up and down steps
  • Ability to climb on, off, in, around, and under vehicles, including RVs and commercial vehicles
  • Exercise caution and awareness of surroundings
  • Learn and apply technical and procedural information
  • Knowledge of city, state, and local regulations, legal concepts, case law, medical treatments, and terminology
Desired Qualifications
  • 4-year Degree or higher
  • Experience in diverse SIU investigations and handling complex fraud cases
  • Knowledge of public record systems and databases for investigations
  • Ability to manage active case loads with minimal supervision
  • Professional designations like CIFI, CFE, FCLA, CPCU, etc.
Salary Range

$35.74 - $56.08 per hour. Final salary depends on experience, education, location, and other factors.
