Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in either sales or product management.
• Knowledge of protein packing plant operations and pork product specifications.
• Detail oriented, highly organized, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent listening, negotiating, presentation and analytical skills.
• Assertive personality with ethics and integrity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell fresh and frozen pork products.
• Guide team members directionally in business decisions.
• Accompany customers on plant tours as needed.
• Search for new business and perform 20–30 customer visits annually.
• Analyze market conditions for supply and demand and provide information on cash markets.
• Collaborate with production and QA to resolve product issues.
• Cross-train and provide necessary coverage with all processor sales associates.
• Monitor and report on sales performance; identify trends and risks.
• Drive initiatives to expand product offerings and enter new markets.
