Job summary

The PAC Group in the United States is seeking a senior-level Commissioning Technician II to lead installation, configure, and deploy complex robotic systems. You will troubleshoot high-level issues and mentor junior team members, coordinating with trades to ensure safety and quality.

This role requires deep robotics/industrial automation expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to travel nationwide, with potential Canada assignments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in robotics, automation, or complex industrial equipment installation.
• Technical training in Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems integration.
• Strong understanding of BMS, FLS, and industrial networking fundamentals.
• Proven ability to lead small teams or coordinate subcontractors in the field.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency interpreting and updating technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite deployment and commissioning of robotic systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
• Coordinate with multiple trades and teams for installation planning.
• Calibrate, test, and validate system performance to specifications.
• Interpret complex mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings.
• Train and mentor Apprentices and Tech Is.
• Provide technical feedback and recommendations to engineering teams.
• Ensure adherence to all safety standards and field best practices.
• Travel 100% of the time across the U.S. (potentially Canada).
