Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Senior Project Manager for field-based construction leadership in the South Central District. The role focuses on directing project teams, cost control, scheduling, and coordinating with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in construction, a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, and a proven track record in leadership, safety, and contract administration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience in construction
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to learn Kiewit policies, procedures and software
• Strong organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration experience
• Ability to access all areas on a construction project site

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct project teams to meet project goals, scope, schedule and budget
• Establish project procedures in line with contractual documents and quality plans
• Serve as project representative with client, constructor, subcontractors and vendors
• Coordinate training and compliance measures
• Identify and secure approvals for changes in scope, budget, or schedule
• Maintain communication with client and adapt deliverables to client and company needs
• Ensure work products meet industry standards and codes
• Provide training and mentoring to junior engineers
• Track progress against milestones using engineering fundamentals
