Job summary

SEIU Healthcare Michigan (HCMI) is seeking a Field Coordinator based in Michigan to lead an internal organizing team and drive strategic campaigns. You will coordinate campaigns, develop leaders, engage new employees, defend contracts, and maintain clear member communication under union leadership.

Required experience includes 5–7 years in organizing, supervision, and strong communication. Proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office and multilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• In-depth experience organizing non-union campaigns and strategic planning.
• Proven ability to supervise organizers and hold teams accountable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with presentations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Organizers to execute the field campaign and monthly work plans.
• Create a strategic campaign calendar and coordinate with departments.
• Lead curriculum development, organize team trainings and meetings.
• Identify and interview union members for Member Organizing Brigades.
• Support team development in leadership and skills.
• Build external community relationships and strengthen internal ties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
