Job summary

SEIU Healthcare Michigan is seeking a Field Coordinator based in Michigan to provide leadership and development for staff and members, coordinating key initiatives within the organizing department. You will lead internal organizers to conduct strategic campaigns and establish member leader structures to engage workers, defend contracts, and maintain clear communication across members.

The role oversees multiple collective bargaining agreements and supports the growth of others to lead successful

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of non-union organizing with 5–7 years of experience.
• Proven supervisory experience with accountability and staff development.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and related apps.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Organizers and execute field campaigns.
• Create and manage a strategic campaign calendar with goals.
• Lead curriculum development and organize team trainings.
• Identify and interview union members for leadership brigades.
• Support staff development in organizing and leadership skills.
• Build external relationships and strengthen internal ties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
