Job summary

Williams is seeking an Operations Technician II- Sr. to analyze data and troubleshoot to keep facility equipment and pipeline operations running safely.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to governmental requirements. Ideal candidates will have several years in similar roles within natural gas processing or compression facilities, with the ability to read drawings and draft procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; a minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facility
• Associates or 2-year technical degree preferred; a minimum six (6) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in natural gas processing or compression facility

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including technical standards and governmental requirements
• Carries out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by leader, analyzing data to resolve issues
• Reads and interprets drawings; drafts operations and maintenance procedures
• Follows all policies and applies appropriate procedures
• Coordinates protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
• Oversees general knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
• Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records
• Other duties as assigned
