Job summary

PPS is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to lead field execution of our Controls & Automation projects. This hands-on leadership role oversees field technicians, electricians, and contractors across local and national projects, collaborating with Controls Operations Manager, Panel Shop Manager, and Project Managers.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with industrial electrical systems, controls, and project execution, and can lead teams in the field.

Qualifications

5–8+ years in industrial electrical, controls, or field operations.
Ability to travel up to 75% or more.
Experience managing field crews and contractors.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and automation.
Read electrical schematics and control drawings.
Safety-focused with OSHA familiarity.

Responsibilities

Lead, schedule, and develop field technicians, electricians, and controls personnel.
Manage field performance, safety, quality, and productivity.
Coordinate field manpower, travel, and resources across projects.
Ensure drawings, materials, tools, and information are available at field sites.
Coordinate startup, commissioning, and handover with project teams.
Maintain strong communication between field and office teams.
