Job summary

PPS is seeking an experienced Controls Operations Manager to lead its Controls & Automation function, overseeing shop-based and field teams. The role requires strong technical leadership in PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and industrial networks, with responsibility for People, P&A, Process, and Systems.

The ideal candidate will manage a Panel & Field Operations Manager, drive financial and operational results, and build high-performing teams across engineering, procurement, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related technical discipline preferred.
• 5-8+ years of controls/automation experience with supervisory or management experience.
• Strong hands-on PLC programming and automation systems knowledge.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, DeltaV).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical docs.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, schedule, and develop controls engineers, automation technicians, programmers, and field personnel.
• Directly manage and develop the Panel & Field Operations Manager.
• Build a strong, accountable, and collaborative team.
• Establish roles, expectations, and performance standards.
• Recruit, develop, and retain key technical and operational talent.
