D-Riven Engineered Solutions is seeking a Senior Field Operations Engineer, Capital Projects (Industrial) to spearhead technically complex, multi-trade projects across the United States. You will oversee planning, design reviews, vendor coordination and on-site execution while upholding strict safety and quality standards.

Mentor Project Engineers and Team Leads, shape schedules and resources, and coordinate with customers and management to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field is required.
  • Experience leading multi-trade industrial projects is essential.
  • Strong ability to read drawings, schematics and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technically challenging, multi-trade projects across the U.S.
  • Coordinate with municipalities and inspectors on permits and approvals.
  • Oversee adherence to codes, QA/QC policies and safety requirements.

Senior Field Operations Engineer, Capital Projects (Industrial)Join D-Riven Engineered Solutions and take the helm of complex field operations that power our customers’ industrial ambitions. In this high-impact role within our Industrial Engineering division, you’ll orchestrate planning, design reviews, vendor coordination, and on-site execution—while ensuring safety and quality never take a back seat.Starting Pay Range: $101k–$110k annuallyWhy this roleLead technically challenging, multi-trade projects across the U.S.Be the trusted interface between our customers and our engineering/program management teams.Shape schedules, resources, and execution strategies that deliver results.Grow others—coach Project Engineers and Team Leads through hands-on leadership.What you’ll doChampion D-Riven health and safety standards; enforce site-specific rules and regulations.Partner with internal and customer management on scope development, project costing, quoting, and planning.Collaborate with Project Engineers and Program Managers to build comprehensive timelines and resource plans.Support development of engineering design packages and lead technical design reviews with customers and vendors.Interpret and validate engineering drawings/schematics (utilities, machine foundations, and more).Coordinate with municipalities and inspectors on permitted projects.Develop resource plans aligned to scope and generate workflow plans for complex program elements.Engage vendors for quotes, materials, and execution support; assign work across internal and vendor teams.Direct mechanical installation teams (pipefitters, plumbers) and electrical/controls teams (electricians, controls technicians).Oversee adherence to codes, best practices, QA/QC policies, and specifications.Review technical reports before release to leadership and customer project teams.Provide experience-based guidance to Project Engineers and Team Leads; conduct formal and informal performance evaluations.Communicate progress daily to clients; answer questions and adapt to evolving needs.Travel and perksAbout 75% travel; typically 3–4 weeks on site per rotation, sometimes longer (a couple of months).Company books and prepays hotel, flights, and rental cars.Mileage from home to the work site reimbursed at $0.725/mile (excludes hotel-to-jobsite daily travel).$70/day per diem.120 hours PTO accrued; usage subject to Manager approval.Health benefits effective the first day of the month after your start date.Holiday-period breaks may occur, but this travel team role is largely continuous travel.Qualifications3+ years as an Operations Engineer, Technical Manager, Maintenance Manager, Project Engineer, or similar within an industrial setting.Willingness to travel 70%–80% and remain on site for 2–4 weeks at a time.Hands-on leadership style and proven supervisory ability.Reliable personal vehicle fit for interstate travel.Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.Expertise reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and standards.Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.Knowledge of industrial regulations and best practices.Comfort interfacing with multidisciplinary teams: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Concrete/Masonry, Rigging.Exceptional critical thinking, decision-making, time management, and organizational skills.Commitment to enforcing internal and external safety standards.Ability to work in less-than-ideal environments when required.EducationBachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Electrical/mechanical trade certifications considered equitably.Training or education in business or organizational management preferred.ProficienciesHVAC; Industrial Electrical; Rigging & Load Handling; Concrete/MasonryCAD software; Schematic interpretation; Workflow planningProject costing, quoting, planning; Quality assuranceMachines & technologiesAutoCAD softwareResponsibilities and duties may shift over time to meet project needs; additional tasks may be assigned by management as required.
