Job summary

Occidental Petroleum Corporation is seeking an Expert IT Infrastructure – Field Network to support its Permian operations. The role covers installation, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of field network services across production, drilling, facilities, and automation systems.

The candidate will work with Operations, Engineering, Cybersecurity, and vendors, traveling to field locations as needed and providing after-hours support to ensure reliable connectivity for critical operations.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience supporting, installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting enterprise network and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Strong incident management and change management knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support safe operations and protect people, environment, and assets.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support field network infrastructure (routing, switching, wireless, LTE, fiber).
• Perform advanced troubleshooting for network and connectivity issues affecting operations.
• Provide on-site and remote support for field offices and critical sites.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Cybersecurity, and vendors to resolve incidents.
