Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Facility Construction Inspector to lead inspections across electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil systems. You will interpret drawings, document progress, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with Project Managers on complex projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; substitution with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience allowed.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in construction inspection.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities.
• Conduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil.
• Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed.
• Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses.
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
