Job summary

HNTB in Florida is seeking a skilled construction inspector to join our project team. You will verify progress on highway and infrastructure works, ensure conformance with plans, and support the project administration on site.

Responsibilities include field surveying, coordinating inspectors, mentoring staff, and performing on-site material tests. A high school diploma with extensive construction experience is required, with applicable state certificates preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 9 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress to ensure compliance with schedule, contract documents and plans.
• Advises Contractor superintendent to ensure conformance with plan, specs, and contract, and resolves quantity disputes.
• Uses engineering inspection practices to perform calculations, reviews constructability and bidability, and measures completed work.
• Reviews Inspector's daily report and verifies labor, equipment, and material received.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches.
• May lead daily assignments, mentor, and train employees.
