Job summary

Keville Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector for full-time work in Rocky Hill, CT. The role involves inspecting contractor work to ensure conformance with plans and specs, reporting daily progress, and performing quantity takeoffs.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four years of experience in civil, highway or a relevant engineering field is required, with two years in field inspection.
• Bachelor of Science Degree may be substituted for two years of experience.
• NICET Level 3 is required for this position.
• Current State of Connecticut Professional Engineer's License or BS in a relevant field is acceptable.
• Other certifications (NACE Coatings Inspection; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; NETTCP HMA Inspector, NETTCP Concrete Inspector, Soils and Concrete, ACI Technician and AWS/CWI) are a plus.
• Must be proficient with computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting/quantity tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications.
• Assist with contract administration and daily progress reporting.
• Track and document quantities of work performed and resolve field construction problems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs/calculations and read/interprete plans and specs.
