Job summary

Saab Inc is seeking a Field Implementation Manager to join our Product Installation Support team in East Syracuse, NY. You will develop and execute deployment strategies for customer premises, coordinate with engineering and production, and help estimate installations during proposals.

You will host customer meetings to capture requirements, produce survey reports, and identify materials and subcontractor needs. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years related experience or Master’s with 3+ years related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Job description

Saab Inc is searching for a Field Implementation Manager to join our Product Installation Support team. We specialize in deploying complex air traffic control and other situational awareness systems in the US and throughout the world. From the initial program concept development and proposal to final completion and customer hand-over, you will be on the front lines of customer interface while also working in close contact with our internal engineering and production teams that design and build the product itself.

This position would be based in East Syracuse, NY.

As an Implementation Manager at Saab, you will:

• Be responsible for developing and executing assigned aspects of deploying our systems on customer premises.
• Participate in the planning and development of installation strategies.
• Help plan and estimate prospective installations during proposals.
• Gain an understanding of customer requirements through hosting meeting and conducting surveys at the customer locations.
• Produce or assist in the creation of a site survey report after making site visits detailing all necessary installation consideration that will need to be done in order to provide for a suitable installation environment.
• Recommend installation strategies.
• Identify code related activates that may require professional engineer stamped design.
• Help identify installation materials needed to supplement bill-of-materials.
• Help develop subcontractor statements of work and bid packages.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings.
• Aid in the review and award of sub-contracts
• Manage design and construction subcontractors as assigned.
• Work with other Saab resources to coordinate all necessary efforts to provide for a successful installation
• Self-perform some minor installation work when necessary.

Compensation Range: $92,200 - $115,300

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with minimum of five (5) years of related experience, or Master’s degree with three (3) plus years relevant experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills, attention to detail while tracking multiple interdependent functions, and ability to follow-up action items and requests.
• Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, possess a strong work ethic and constant desire to learn.
• Possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel international and domestic up to 50% in support of program and business development efforts.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Project Management or Construction Management experience is a plus.
• Experience with U.S. Government Projects (both Operations and Engineering) programs is a plus.
• Experience with Atlassian products like JIRA, SharePoint and Confluence, preferred.
