Job summary

Old National Bank is seeking a Senior Field Examiner to lead and independently complete field examinations for Commercial, Business Banking and Asset Based loans. The role involves in-depth analysis of collateral and financial data to assess creditworthiness.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, at least seven years of related experience, and strong Excel/Word skills. The position is based in multiple Illinois locations and offers competitive compensation

• Seven years of Commercial Field Examination and Asset Based Loan experience.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to exercise prudent judgement to make independent decisions affecting customers and the Bank.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills in a high stress, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and independently complete Initial and Recurring field examinations for Commercial, Business Banking and Asset Based loans.
• Analyze onsite collateral to include accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, cash, financial statements, liabilities, taxes and systems for credit worthiness.
• Construct field examination reports highlighting material variances, draw conclusions and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Evaluate customers' borrowing base certificates to ensure compliance with bank requirements.
• Investigate customers' accounting procedures and systems to identify collateral risk and ensure compliance with bank standards.
• Assess customer's financial condition by reviewing internal reports and bank statements.
• Assist with review of field examinations completed by outsourced vendors to ensure audit standards are met.
• Assist in training new field examiners.
