Job summary

Stantec's Environmental Services group seeks an experienced Environmental Project Manager / Environmental Scientist (Electric Transmission and Renewable Energy) to provide senior-level project management, regulatory, and permitting services focused on transmission, solar, wind, and BESS projects.

The role supports Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ohio markets with expert guidance and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, or related field.
• Ten years of related experience in environmental consulting or project management.
• Experience managing electric transmission or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex environmental projects through scopes, budgets, risks, and change management.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal teams to develop solutions.
• Represent clients at public hearings and agency meetings.
• Prepare and review environmental permit applications and reports.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to staff.
