Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our on-site Construction Services team in Ulster County, NY, covering the Hudson Valley and lower Catskills. You will work on infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, water treatment plants, and transit systems, ensuring design intent is met with the highest standards of safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in construction engineering, a PE license, and a proven track record in project coordination, cost monitoring, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (PE).
Experience using Microsoft Office, Estimating & CPM Scheduling Software, and web-based document collaboration software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Active participation in our employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

Perform complex construction assignments using judgement in evaluation, selection and modification of standard techniques.
Conduct project field coordination, documentation, cost monitoring, bidding and scheduling.
Receive, issue and track RFIs, submittals and other required data.
Perform other duties as needed.
