Socket.dev in Texas is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to guide construction projects, ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes and contract specifications, and partner with crews to keep work on schedule and within budget.

You will review drawings, assist with schedule, monitor costs, manage permits and safety, and coordinate subcontractors, with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 2+ years of construction engineering, scheduling or design experience required.
• Knowledge of cost coding, budgeting and financial implications for projects.
• Knowledge of scheduling processes and industry best practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with construction equipment, drawings, specifications and materials.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to review production schedules and ensure materials, equipment and resources are ready for production.
• Review shop drawings, design specs, material requirements and project data to ensure quality and contract compliance.
• Provide input for project work plans, identify risks to budget or schedule and help manage cost coding and reporting.
• Track project performance by evaluating daily production, schedule and budget projections and documenting activities.
• Coordinate safety, permits and documentation; plan field layouts, coordinate subcontractors and review quality at all stages.
