Job summary

Clark Construction seeks a Senior Field Engineer to lead field engineering on the Water Team. You will oversee complex operations, ensure accuracy, quality and efficiency across project phases, and mentor junior staff.

Key duties include establishing control lines, verifying concrete pours, coordinating with management, subcontractors and survey teams, and ensuring adherence to safety standards on active sites.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field engineering teams on construction sites.
• Ability to establish and verify control lines and benchmarks.
• Experience tracking concrete quantities and pours.
• Mentor junior engineers and apprentices.
• Read and interpret structural/shop drawings.
• Compute and record earthwork and grades.
• Calibrate, check, and adjust survey instruments.
• Read contour maps and perform layout from drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead establishment and verification of horizontal and vertical control.
• Oversee concrete quantity tracking and pour performance.
• Provide mentorship to Field Engineers and Apprentices.
• Coordinate with management, subcontractors, and survey teams.
• Support planning with layout strategies and risk mitigation.
• Check optical plummet and verify instrument calibration.
• Run three-wire level loops and compute tangent grades.
• Read contour maps and determine earthwork.
